On the Admin page, you can delete content items from the cache individually or all items that are child objects of a specific URL. This makes it possible to clear the cache of specific content items instead of deleting the whole cache which can have an adverse affect on the performance of the web server. See Caching for more information on managing the XperienCentral cache as a whole.
To view the Admin page, navigate to the following URL in a browser:
<domain>{context path}/admin/admin
For example:
http://gxsoftware.com/web/admin/admin
Deleting Context Items from the Cache
To delete a content item from the cache, follow these steps:
- Enter the URL of the content item that you want to delete in the "URL Pattern" field. The URL pattern is the internal XperienCentral identifier for the content item. The URL can be found by navigating to the content item in the XperienCentral backend and copying it from the URL in the title bar of your browser. XPerienCentral identifiers resemble the following:
<domain>{context path}/{URL}
For example:https://www.gxsoftware.com/resources/factsheet/factsheet-ecommerce-platform-.htm
- Click [Delete]. A status message will appear that specifies whether the deletion was successful.
To delete a page and all its subpages, enter a pattern that includes a wildcard. For example:https://www.gxsoftware.com/resources/factsheet/factsheet-ecommerce-platform-.htm/*
