The method of indexing content in XperienCentral was changed in version R28 and further refined in version R29.
XperienCentral uses a custom implentation for indexing content. This was introduced in XperienCentral version R28 and it ran alongside the Apache Jackrabbit JCR index implementation. This makes it possible to manage plugins, users and website settings from outside the XperienCentral GUI. The Shell Tool works for both local installations of XperienCentral as well as cloud installations. It is an extension of the Apache Felix GoGo shell.
