Using discussion configurations, you can make it possible for visitors to comment on an article through a discussion (Forum or Guest book). In order to attach a discussion to an article, a discussion configuration has to be created. To do so, navigate to Configuration > Content Repository and then click "Discussion Configurations.
Creating a Discussion Configuration
To create a new discussion configuration, follow the steps below. Before you can create a discussion configuration, you must create a discussion, a discussion model, and a voting model
- Select <New configuration> from the Configurations drop-down.
- Type the name for the Discussion Configuration in the "Name" text field.
- Select the model (if any) to use for the Discussion Configuration from the "Voting Model" drop-down.
- Select the model to use for the Discussion Configuration from the "Voting Model" drop-down.
- Select the model to use for the Discussion Configuration from the "Discussion Settings" drop-down.
- Click [Apply].
Renaming and Deleting Discussion Configurations
To rename a Discussion Configuration, enter a new name in the "Name" field and then click [Apply].
To delete a Discussion Configuration, click [Delete] in the upper right corner. The Discussion Configuration is deleted.
