Choose TargetSelect the target for the redirect. The redirect can be to another page on the current website or an external URL. Click [Search Reference] to select the target. Use the "Content" tab to select a page on the current website. Use the "Web" tab to specify an external URL.
Redirect TypeSelect the redirect type. You have two options:
  • Permanent Redirect (301) - A (301) redirect permanently redirects to the target page or external URL and indicates to search engines that the old URL should be removed from their indexes.
  • Temporary Redirect (302) - A (302) redirect temporarily redirects to the target page or external URL and indicates to search engines that they should read and use the content on the new page but should keep checking the original URL because the intention is to reestablish reinstate it at some point.
